List of daily travel
Here is a regular account of this remarkable Catalan bicycle tour for your tour destination get-away
First day: Catalonia welcome
You will need to arrive in Girona, Spain, on the first day of your cycling journey. Many people travel to and from Barcelona, Spain, to nearby Girona, by bus or rail. The train takes less than an hour and a half and is a thrilling tour of the Catalan landscape. If you’re in Girona, someone will meet you at Touring Catalonia’s bus and train station, and you and your stuff will be taken to the nearby city of Joanetes. This is a beautiful refurbished, multi-story farmhouse where you’re going to stay. Dinner is served, and then time is required to walk around the property before you go to bed.
Day 2: Joanetes Girona
The first day of the cycling tour is complete from the volcanoes to the Costa Brava. You’ll wake up to a beautiful farmhouse breakfast in Joanetes, a small country town. You go to your place to pick up your things afterward. You will drop your bags on the farm and continue cycling. Best of all, your baggage is shipped to your next stop, so you don’t have to drive much on your bike during the day. You start on quiet country roads and soon turn onto a steep dirt and gravel path, which leads you through a long, flat valley to Girona. You can check out at your hotel in Girona and wander about (highly recommended) if you choose.
Day 3: Guíxols Sant Feliu in Girona.
It’s a warm, sunny bike ride along established bike paths this special day. Before you hit Sant Feliu de Guíxols beach, you can enjoy driving through the hills, bridges, and shade trees. Hostel del Sol provides stunning views of the town and the ocean in the distance, on a hill just outside the city center. It is a short walk from the hotel to the city center, where you can have food and drinks in the town’s many small restaurants. Enjoy the beach and sea that day as Sant Feliu de Guíxols is one of the most picturesque fishing villages on the cycling track.
Day 4: L’Estartit Sant Feliu’s Guíxols
This was by far the best day of cycling in Catalonia. The day begins with breakfast at your hotel and then a short cycling tour along busy coastal roads bordered by restaurants and shops. Then you turn inland north down the coast to find a way back to the bike path, where you can cycle in the countryside. You will pass through tiny towns, large fields, and into the dense, tree-covered tundra. Finally, you can go to Hotel Medes II in L’Estartit to have a drink before taking a fun walk through the city and visiting the nearby restaurant.

Yes! This bike tour has a lot to enjoy, but as agreed upon that the trip’s three best aspects:
Costa Brava sunbathing. The “Volcanoes to the Costa Brava” bike tour is a fantasy cycling trip to the sea. In this part of the world, the summer weather is warm, but it’s never too warm. Get ready to fall in love with Costa Brava beaches!
The extensive bike path network. An excellent bike network surrounds Catalonia. Paved cycle lanes, gravel highways, bike paths take you over rivers and bridges and down footpaths along the seafront. While you will have to cycle along some quiet city streets on this journey, the vast majority of the bike tour takes you through Catalonia’s many bike paths. And I said the whole bike tour is uphill or downhill. There are only a few tiny hills throughout the week, making this a commuting trip most people love.
Daily passenger shipping. If you want to go on a bike ride, you want to get your luggage moved from hotel to hotel on the road tour “Vulcanoes to the Costa Brava,” you don’t want to mess with all the chains, garments and gadgets that self-supporting cycling visitors offer. Owing to the weight of the clothing, toiletries, and other personal items, you can travel every day. And when you get back to your place, your bags wait for you at the end of the day!
I indeed encourage you to participate in one of Girona’s walking tours if you want to make your time in Catalonia more fun. Ask Laura from Girona with us. She is one of Europe’s best guides I’ve ever seen. And while you’re here, in Tots a Taula, Girona, we highly recommend Xavier’s optional cooking class. In addition to the cycle tour itself, these two encounters help make this cycling trip an experience you remember for years to come.
Generally speaking, the cycle tour, “From the volcanoes to the Costa Brava,” is a cycle tour that we suggested very much. The time takes place in a beautiful part of the country. The people are relaxed, the food is good, the beaches are beyond the world, and this unique tour is one of Europe’s cheapest self-guided tours.
Day 5: Launch of the Rose
Day 5 of the Cycling Catalonia Bike Tour is your last chance to dive into Catalonia’s charm. Fortunately, this day’s bike ride is mostly on the east, with cycle lanes and quiet country roads that almost ultimately lead you to Roses. Experience one or two of the surrounding beaches. After all, thousands of people in bright bathrobes lying in the sand or surfing are unusual to see. Today after your ride, you will pass through a high-end coastal city that looks more like Miami, Flordia than Roses. This is a short but lovely bike ride to the coast and the hotel at night – Hotel Ramlamar.
Day 6: Rose Figueres
Roses is a lovely city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. As the shortest day of the bike ride today is just 28 km scheduled, please rest in Roses for the first part. Then take your cycle and ride inland to Figueres’s town where you end your cycling holidays in Spain. On the way to the old villages of Vilanova de la Muga and Perelada, visit Castelló d’Empúries. Finally, get to Figueres and head to town to dine in one of the different restaurants on the road before showering in the Hotel Pirineos.
Day 7: Goodbye Catalonia
You will have breakfast on the last day of your bike tour “From the Volcanoes to the Costa Brava” and will be able to travel by bus and train to Barcelona from there. You should not repay your car or other vehicles leased. Only leave it at the hotel in Figueres, and soon after your departure, anyone from Visiting Catalonia will come and find it.
