Thanks to Jan L. Pivoda, who works for Sportique, I’m able to write this review.

Being fair, I didn’t know the brand before Jan emailed me, asking me to send a sample set. We did a review about Ozone Elite creams some time ago. But the set wasn’t as complete as Sportique’s has sent me recently. Another close review on a similar product is the Crotch Guard oil.

However, I’ve got the chance to review the whole Sportique set, and what I did is testing every single product, and here you’ve got my opinion.

All of us who practice sports know how important it is to keep our bodies in their top shape. In cycling, which is a very demanding sport, this is particularly true. And keeping our bodies in top shape means taking good care of them.

Skin is often one of the most neglected parts of our bodies, though it is the first to come in contact with the bike, the road, and the weather, be it hot or cold. Proper skin care can prevent irritation and discomfort, and believe me; athletes who address these issues have a competitive edge over those who don’t. For this reason, I believe good skin care is essential to every cyclist.

Now that I made my case for skincare (hope I wasn’t too dramatic), let me address Sportique.

About Sportique

Sportique is a manufacturer of skincare products, specially developed with athletes in mind. Sportique creams are made only with natural botanical ingredients, nut butter, and moisturizing oils.

This means that no ingredient from animal source is used in the manufacturing process, and neither petroleum or any synthetic ingredient.

According to Sportique, their products have been evaluated and granted a quality seal, which certificates them as complying with European Union’s hypoallergenic, microbiological, and effectiveness laws and regulations.

I tested several of their products and was positively surprised. The products smell and feel great on the skin. One problem I usually have with skincare creams is that I find many of them to be too greasy, and I hate the way they make me feel. I had no such problems with the Sportique products I tried.

I always felt very comfortable while using them, and when I was done riding my bike, taking them off was no problem at all. My skin was smooth at all times, and I never felt any irritation.

Now let’s take a look at some of the products:

Century riding cream

CENTURY RIDING – CHAMOIS CREAM

The Century Riding Cream is used to prevent those nasty friction irritations caused by the equipment. I found it to be very efficient and soothing, increasing my comfort substantially while on the bike. It has antimicrobial and antifungal properties and is washed easily after use.

Get Going Cream

Get Going Cream

The Get Going Cream is used to accelerate your warming up by invigorating the muscles. It increases blood circulation and general toning, preventing fatigue and enhancing physical recovery.

To be honest, I hate warming up though I know how important it is. Using this cream, I felt the initial effort I make on starting my ride was reduced a lot. I felt my muscles warmer than usual, and the initial soreness wasn’t there.

Warming Up Cream

Similar to the Get Going Cream, the Warming Up cream will help get ready for the riding session ahead. Using essential oils such as almond, jojoba, shea butter, and camphor, the warming up cream stimulates the muscles and accelerates blood circulation.

I used this one and the Get Going Cream on separate days. To be honest, I found the Get Going Cream more effective, though the Warming Up cream does a good job as well.

Foot Gel

Foot Gel

The Foot Gel is a very refreshing antifungal and antimicrobial gel. I must say that I love this one. It effectively reinvigorates your feet, keeping them cool and fresh, soothing them. It also limits perspiration. Probably one of the best foot gels I ever tried.

Road Rash Balm

The Road Rash Balm is a disinfectant cream. Having healing properties and being anti-inflammatory is great for all those bruises and cuts you might experience while on the road. I only needed to use it once, and my experience was positive.

Elements Cream

Elements Cream
Elements Cream

The Element Cream is a skincare product that protects it from the elements. Being January, I’ve been using this cream a lot, and I must say that I’m impressed.

This cream uses an extract of a seaweed called Durville Antartica, which is antifreeze, helping your skin fight the cold.

Since I never used it in the summer, I can’t really say how it fares against the hot Sun and high temperatures, but with the extreme cold, it works wonders.

Moisturizing Body Balm

Moisturizing Body Balm

The Moisturizing Body Balm is a cream to be used after the wash and after shaving. It soothes, hydrates, and regenerates the skin.

I usually use this balm after showering on the aftermath of a long ride. If a shower in itself is pretty reinvigorating, this balm increases that feeling. Also, it is not greasy, which is something that I was afraid of before trying it.

Shea Butter Hand Cream

The Shea Butter Hand cream is a non-greasy hand cream that is formulated with 25% Shea Butter. It is anti-inflammatory, and it makes the skin of your hands smooth and cool, even when you’re working hard.

This is another excellent product, mainly when used in winter, since it warms and protects your hands from the freezing cold. It has been a faithful companion during these last two months since I usually use this one on my hands and the Elements Cream on my face.

Massage Oil

A Massage Oil is great for when you arrive at home after a long ride, and you feel your muscles a bit sore. With jojoba oil as well as apricot, primrose, and safflower oils, I find the massage oil very reinvigorating after a prolonged effort.

Final thoughts:

This is an excellent line of products. They may be a little expensive at first sight, but their results are impressive. These must be among the best skincare products for athletes available in the market. Try them out if you can.

Sportique is having a private sale going on their web site. The 30% DISCOUNT CODE (Only for BikeCyclingReviews readers) is BCR19852. Make sure you type this when making a purchase ???? , and you’ll get a 30% off.

You won’t be disappointed with any of their products as I personally got impressive results. I will keep you updated on further news of all these Sportique creams.
