It is good to train regularly, but you should never overlook the importance of taking rest days in between. You’ll be setting yourself for burnout if you keep putting in serious hard work without recovery or rest days.
You can definitely rely on rehydrating, post-workout refueling, foam rolling, and dynamic stretching for active recovery. However, nothing can beat rest days because a rest day sets you up for extended recovery and saves you from issues like low energy levels, irritability, illness, trouble sleeping increased hunger, and the list goes on.
